dollars in compensation claims for colonial land loss, as well as loss of spiritual
connection.
The High Court of Australia ruled in favor of the
Ngaliwurru and Nungali groups from the Northern Territory in the biggest
‘native title’ ruling on indigenous rights to traditional land and water in
decades on Wednesday.
It said the Northern Territory government was to pay
$2.53mn in damages to the Ngaliwurru and Nungali groups for an earlier federal
court ruling which found the NT government “extinguished” their native title rights

Interview With WPKN’s Scott Harris

Scott Harris has been hosting a show at
WPKN, Bridgeport’s independent, alternative radio station, for a remarkable 42
years. He began in 1977 with a music show which he transformed a decade later
to Counterpoint, a two-hour weekly program chock full
of news, analysis, interviews and discussion not heard in corporate media.

the essence of the Democratic Party and the IdPol Left, and it is horrible
The
incident at the Washington Mall, the so-called “confrontation” between Nathan
Phillips and Nick Sandmann, is a watershed
moment in American society. Things are at the point
where anything that can be used as a statement against President Trump will be,
and what many Democrats and a great deal of the Identity Politics Left did, at
a moment’s notice, was to simply pour out hate. In doing this, these
people showed what they are all about and what they have to “contribute” in
this world, and it is horrible.
Despite enormous ongoing effort over more than a thousand
years, during and since the formation and shaping of the modern world, and as
the number of issues being contested has steadily increased, activists of many
types have made insufficient progress on key issues, particularly in relation
to ending violence and war (and the threat of nuclear war), stopping the
exploitation of many peoples and halting the endless assaults on Earth’s
biosphere.

battle for bomb-shattered villages in the deserts of eastern Syria. When their spokesman promised
retaliation for the massacre of Muslims in the Christchurch mosques
his threat was taken seriously.
